How It Works

Assess. Stabilize. Manage.

A straightforward way to begin working with OrbitLink, and a clear picture of what can happen afterward. The shape is simple. The work inside it depends on your business.

How a consultation works

It is a conversation, not a contract.

Use the form on the contact page, or email hello@orbitlinkit.com. Tell us what you are looking for and what is getting in the way. We reply to new inquiries during business hours.

The reply is a practical next step: a few clarifying questions, a short call, or an honest note if we are not the right fit. You do not need an inventory prepared. If you have one, it helps.

What we will want to understand

  1. 01

What your team uses day to day

  2. 02

What is breaking, slow, or unclear

  3. 03

Whether you want a one-time project, ongoing help, or only a prioritized list

What helps us be useful

  • A decision-maker

Someone who can say yes, no, or not yet.

  • Access, when you are ready

We only review systems you choose to share.

  • A rough priority

Even “email is a mess” is enough to start.

A consultation is a conversation. Ongoing managed IT is a separate choice.

01

Assess

We review the technology environment you actually use, then turn that into priorities.

The review is a plain-language pass over the systems you can show us and describe. We look only at what you choose to share.

What the review can cover

  • Computers and who uses them
  • Email, accounts, and where files live
  • Your domain, DNS, and website, when those are in scope
  • Sign-in, backups, and anything that feels fragile

How recommendations are established

  1. Soon

Fragile, blocking work, or leaving access open.

  2. Next

Worth doing once the urgent items are calm.

  3. Later

Useful, but not where this month’s attention should go.

  4. Leave it

Working well enough that changing it would add risk.

You get a clear picture and a prioritized list. It describes your environment, not a standard package.

02

Stabilize

Put the fundamentals into a state you can trust—only the items the review showed you need.

Stabilizing is the first agreed work. It might be a short set of changes, or a longer project. The review decides which.

What initial setup may involve

  • Remove access that should not remain
  • Put business email and DNS into a state you can explain
  • Turn on stronger sign-in where your tools allow it
  • Write down key devices, accounts, and how to get help
  • Fix the problem that is currently stopping work
  • Set up or correct a website, mailbox, or small workflow if that was the priority

This stage can stand on its own. Ongoing care is a separate agreement.

03

Manage

Ongoing help for the systems we agreed to look after, for as long as you want that relationship.

Some clients stop after the review or the project. Others want someone keeping the setup steady as people join, leave, and the tools change. Ongoing managed IT is a choice.

  1. Scope

    Which systems we look after.

  2. Contact

    How your team reaches us.

  3. Included work

What a normal request covers, and what is quoted separately.

  4. Check-ins

How often we look at priorities together.

Day to day, support is practical. Someone writes in. We work the issue. We tell you what changed. If the same problem keeps returning, we will suggest a more durable fix before it becomes a surprise project.

If response expectations are part of the work, they are written into that agreement.

What to expect when you contact us

A new inquiry and an existing client relationship are different kinds of requests. Each one has its own next step.

New inquiries

  • The form on the contact page, or an email to hello@orbitlinkit.com
  • A reply during business hours
  • A practical next step, in plain language
  • Remote conversations are available; OrbitLink is based in Austin, Texas

If you are already a client

  • Use the contact path written into your agreement
  • Ask about the systems that agreement covers
  • Expect a straight answer when a request is a separate project
  • Hear from us if something looks outside the work we should do

Scope is agreed for each business. Response expectations, when they exist, live in that agreement.

Next step

Start with the problem, not a package.

Tell us what is getting in the way. We will reply during business hours with a practical next step.
